Description
STATEMENT OF WORK Evaporative Cooler Maintenance Base wide Luke AFB, AZ 85309 1. Scope: Luke AFB has 342 Evaporative Coolers to be serviced. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, transportation, and tools necessary to remove and replace cooler pads on all 294 aspen pad type coolers, leave all 48 celdek type pads in place. Clean panels and pans, grease bearings and install and adjust new float valve assemblies on all 342 Evaporative Coolers base-wide. Also, an operational check shall be performed on each cooler. Identify in writing, on the close of business every day (to the Point of Contact listed in block 9 below) if the coolers need belts, pumps, motors, or bearings on all 342 Evaporative Coolers. All work shall be completed by the first of April 2003. A list of all locations of subject coolers will be provided at the site visit. 2. Location of Work: Base wide, Luke AFB, AZ. 3. Working Hours: Are 0700-1700 Monday-Friday excluding federal holidays. Designated Government Point of Contact shall be notified prior to work daily. 4. Site visit: Will be at 56 Contracting Sq.,bldg 26, 14100 W. Eagle St., Luke AFB AZ.,85309, 24 Jan 03 at 10A.M. Attendance at scheduled site visit is required for this requirement. Prospective offerors shall satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance. 5. Installation: The contractor shall plan for all materials specified in the statement of work. The installation of cooler pads, and float valve assemblies shall meet cooler specifications and statement of work requirements. 6. Materials: Coolers shall be padded with aspen pads only. Each cooler shall receive a new brass body float valve assembly, size determined by existing float in place. 7. Electrical: Contractor shall comply with all state and federal building codes. The contractor shall be responsible for site safety of their employees. 8. Cleaning: The work area shall be cleaned daily and free of refuse and surplus material. 9. Point of contact: Will be provided at site visit.
