Description

The National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) intends to award a sole source contract justified in accordance with subpart 6.3 (Other Than Full and Open Competition) FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source is available and no other types of services will satisfy the needs of the Agency. The Agency is planning to issue a sole source contract to enable NIMA to obtain assistance from The Corporate Executive Board, who provides best practices, research and executive education to a membership of the worlds leading corporations, not-for-profit institutions, and other government intelligence agencies. The Corporate Executive Board is the only known organization to provide the required services and who owns all rights to their proprietary strategic research. This membership is a positive effort towards alignment with other intelligence organizations, who currently are members of this Council, and who possess similar issues. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS OR AN INVITATION FOR BIDS, NOR DOES IT REPRESENT A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR COSTS INCURRED IN THE PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF DATA OR ANY OTHER COSTS INCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. Interested parties may identify their capabilities for future requirements, if any. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice, if any, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Agency requires access to the proprietary strategic research, of this organization. Membership allows attendance to an annual retreat allowing interaction with Council's principals to gain key insight to the proprietary research, attend a series of regionally based staff briefings, attend on-site presentations customized to members organizational requirements, obtain short-answer custom research projects, access custom library of more than 12,000 proprietary research pieces, and access to a password-protected website which contains archived research, networking and decision-support tools. All of these services are available exclusively through Council membership.
