Description
NA The U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) anticipates issuing a solicitation for High Technology Research, Development and Engineering Services for the Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) of the CECOM Research, Developmen t and Engineering Center (CERDEC). This program is for field technology assistance, test and evaluation, and engineering support to the Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD). These services include support for research and development, systems engineering, technology demonstrations, modeling and simulation of systems, prototype fabrication, field-testing and data collection, engineering parts and materials, networking, and other technical and administrative support. These services will require personnel with scientific, engineering, analytical, computer programming, manufacturing, administrative, management and various other technical skills. This contract shall support the equipment, systems, facilities and operations under the respons ibility of NVESD at both Fort Belvoir and Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia. The contract(s) will be Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contracts with orders issued on a Time & Materials with Award Fee basis. Requirements will be fulfilled on a t ask order basis in a competitive environment IAW FAR 16.505(b). Under this unrestricted, full and open competitive acquisition, the Government plans to award more than one IDIQ type contract. The contract(s) shall be awarded for a base period of thirty-s ix months, with two, two-year award terms. Each award will be made based on the best overall proposal that is determined to be the most beneficial to the Government. A draft solicitation will be posted to the Army Business Opportunities Page. All commen ts on the DRAFT solicitation will be reviewed and posted as appropriate. Deadline for receipt of questions will be posted with the draft solicitation document. A formal solicitation will be issued shortly thereafter. Prospective offerors require TOP SEC RET facility clearances.
