Description

NA SEE NOTE 27--100% HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE (Contractors can verify their status as a HUBZONE small business or get additional information concerning this SBA Program at: www.sba.gov/hubzone). Work involves construction of a 4 foot dike raising usi ng material excavated from drier areas of the existing interior disposal area, and modifying/rebuilding the 2 spillway structures (extending pipes, new risers, walkways, etc.). Also included will be toe protection which is currently expected to include ap proximately 1330 LF of stone revetment in higher-impact areas and approx. 2970 LF of sandbag revetment in lower-impact areas. The proposed work is located east of the Wanchese Harbor entrance channel, Dare County, North Carolina. Estimated cost range of this project is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. NAICS code is 237990. Small Business size standard is $28.5 million. Plans and specifications for this solicitation will be issued on CD-ROM ONLY, on or about 17 March 2003 with bid opening on or about 17 April 2 003. (The solicitation will be posted on the Wilmington District web page when issued: www.saw.usace.army.mil; Doing Business with us; Contracting Division; EBS Database). They will be FREE of charge and should not be returned. Amendments will be made through either diskette, CD-ROM , or hard paper copy. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other documents required for bid submittal shall be in PAPER MEDIUM. Electronic medium for bid submittal SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED.
