Description
NA Provide all supervision, material, labor, tools and transportation necessary to perform semi-annual inspections on fire suppression systems in various buildings at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) co de. There are a total of 54 systems inspections in various buildings along with an AFFF Foam fire suppression system located in Bldg. 6058 to be completed semi-annually once in March and once in September. Inspections shall include but not be limited to replacement of fusible links, adjustments, and typical tests that may be required to determine the integrity of the system. Contractor shall record the inspection date on tags attached to the systems, and perform any other task items necessary to comply w ith the NFPA code. Inspection reports shall be provided for each system inspected citing what work has been done, what parts were replaced as minor maintenance and any other information pertaining to the system inspected. Inspection reports shall define any major maintenance a system may require and, or, major defects that may exist that caused the system to non-comply with NFPA code so appropriate remedial action can be pursued by the government. Contractor shall coordinate work for inspection times and dates with the occupant that is assigned to each facility prior to inspection. Generally, hours of operation during which these services can be performed are 7 A.M. through 4:30 P.M. This procurement for fire suppression inspections services will be for the period from 1 Mar 03 through 30 Sep 03 with four (4) one-year options. The proposed procurement is set-aside 100% for small businesses under NAICS 561990 with a corresponding small business size standard of $6.0 Mil. The procurement will be subject t o the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR Part 13. The RFQ will be available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about 23 Jan 2003.
