Description
NA Defense Contracting Command-Washington on behalf of the U.S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences (ARI) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area for a stud y entitled: ?Technical and Analytical Support?. Such support should take the following forms: (a) provide appropriately training and experienced undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and faculty for direct work on ARI research, ana lysis, and studies; (b) provide faculty to supervise students to perform advanced research, analysis, and studies; (c) match faculty expertise to designated research and study needs within ARI; (d) provide research space (to include, when applicable, labor atory space) for conducting research required by the ARI program; and (e) provide a pool of subjects for research and studies where this is deemed necessary and mutually agreeable. The Consortium is a non-profit organization which includes the entire popu lation of colleges and universities (and, thus, the graduate students and faculty) in the Washington DC area. In combination, these colleges/universities have graduate programs in all disciplines pertinent to the ARI interests: various fields of psychol ogy, operations research, statistics, economics, computer science, sociology, and information systems, to mention the most critical. There is NO solicitation document. This notice is NOT a request for quotes. Interested firms may send capability statemen ts to the attention of Carolyn Baltimore, DCC-W, 5200 Army Pentagon, Room 1C256, Contracting Business Unit 5B, Washington, D.C. 20310-5200. Capability statements must be received by this office within 45 days from publication of this notice.
