Description

The Public Works Branch (PWB) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to procure services to provide maintenance, repair, inspection and installation of the Government own Animal Waste Disposal Systems, which includes, five (5) Somat Animal Waste Disposal systems and one (1) TBJ Downdraft Bedding Dump Station. The maintenance, repairs, inspections, and installation described herein shall be performed by the Contractor and, unless otherwise stated, applies to all equipment and components comprising a Waste Disposal System. This includes, but is not limited to, motors, pumps conveyers, cutters, cutter blocks, impellers, air pumps, solenoids, motorized valves, screw assemblies, wiring and piping, switches, lenses and controllers. Work performed under this contract shall be such as to properly protect all equipment from deterioration and to provide peak performance of all systems, resulting in a minimum of down time on the units These systems are located on the campus of the National Institutes of Health, buildings 14A, 14B North, 14C, and 14H. The period of coverage will be for a basic 12-month period and four (4) one (1) year options periods. These option periods will be taken into consideration in the award determination. This is an unrestricted procurement. The solicitation is scheduled for release on or about February 6, 2003 with a closing date of approximately 30 days after its issuance. THE SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ELECTRONICALLY ONLY. OFFERORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING THIS WEBSITE FOR ANY POSSIBLE SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS THAT MAY BE ISSUED.
