Description
The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to overhaul two (2) each VA Tech Escher Wyss GMBH propulsion hubs, Stock No. 2010-12-307-6891, VA Tech Escher Wyss GMBH Part No. 8345940-OORH, Qty. 1 Ea., and Stock No. 2010-12-307-6892, VA Tech Escher Wyss GMBH Part No. 834594000LH. Solicitation No. DTCG40-03-Q-60408 will be issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) is 811310 and the dollar amount is $ 5.0 million. It is the Government's belief that ONLY VA Tech Escher Wyss GMBH, Ravensburg, Germany (OEM), and/or their authorized distributors, can restore the propulsion hubs to their operating and performance characteristics, "original" design and technical specifications. Only OEM parts shall be used to overhaul. It is the Government's intention to solicit only the OEM, and/or their authorized distributors. The Government does not possess the necessary technical and engineering data or drawings to supply with the RFQ. This information is proprietary to the OEM. Interested, responsible sources, that can provide the overhaul requested, may submit a quotation, which shall be evaluated. Firms interested in submitting a quotation in response to this notice must submit verification, from the OEM, that they can obtain all technical and engineering drawings and data required to successfully overhaul these items. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD. The RFQ package shall be available on or about 22 January 2003. Interested contractors should download the RFQ package from fedbizops@www.eps.gov . The closing date for receipt of responses shall be no later than 6 February 2003. This acquisition is not set-aside for small business. See Numbered Note 22 and 26. The following statement is for information purposes only: ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
