- NA The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB), to award a firm fixed price contract for the Construction of Marist College Hudson River Waterfront Bulkhead Project, located in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New Y ork. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990. The size standard is $28,500,000. The estimated cost range of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This acquisition requirement shall be a HubZone set-aside with mon itoring. If there is not sufficient response from HubZone companies within15 days of the issuance of this presolictation notice the acquisition will become unrestricted. Notice will be placed in FedBizOpps amending the solicitation if needed. The project e ntails the placement of stone and installation of sheet piles and caissons for bulkhead rehabilitation. The duration of the project is approximately 180 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. HubZone companies must send an e-mail to Kathleen.Hirschy @usace.army.mil prior to 7 Feb 2003 stating that they intend to bid on this project. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 30 January 2003. Plans and Specifications may be examined at this office at 26 Federal Plaza, Room 1831, New York, N .Y. The media selected for the issuance of the solicitations and amendments shall be solely at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project are the Internet and CD-ROM. Paper copies of this solicitation and amendments, if any, will not be available or issued. Interested parties may download and print the solicitation, specification files and drawings at no charge at http://nan .usace.army.mil (Contracting). Minimum System Requirements are Pentium-based personal computer , Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 32MB application RAM. A registration page is attached to the website and prospective bidders are required to register and to receive notice of any amendments and/or addenda that may be issued to this solicitation. Utiliz ation of the internet is the preferred method, however, CD's will be available upon written request stating the solicitation number, or project name, complete company name and street address (we will not deliver to P.O. boxes), telephone and facsimile numb er (including area codes). Make check or money order payable in the amount of $10.00 to FAO, USAED, New York. Registration Requirements: DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) applies to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Department of Defense CCR Database prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
