- NA The National Park Service (NPS), Yellowstone National Park, is seeking a qualified contractor to provide all equipment, labor and materials to refurbish four (4) Ford Crown Victoria ranger vehicles. Three of the cars are 1996 and one is 1997. The following are the technical specifications: 1. On site emergency equipment installation technicians, expertise, (lightbar / radio / pushbumper /etc) and proven history. Access to Code 3, Whelan, and Federal Signal products. Ability to trouble shoot, install, and/or replace emergency equipment on site. 2. Replace as needed suspension, brakes, steering, interior, body and trim, and other drivetrain with factory Ford or Chevy parts. Vehicles painted or body work completed on site as needed. Vehicle detailed out on site. 3. Comprehensive evaluation of the entire car (all the switches, components, and parts) and replacement of items as needed. Minimum 50-mile road test. Pick up and delivery of vehicle to/from Mammoth. 4. Nationally ASE certified or equivalent technicians. Proven full Ford and Chevy police vehicle restoration history and references. Please provide history information regarding your work on police vehicles. 5. Replacement of engine, with brand new 4.6 liter Ford, minimum 12 month 12,000 mile Ford warranty. Replace transmission with factory parts and warranty same as engine. This announcement serves as the solicitation.
