Description

NA This is amendment 0001 to a previously synopsized requirement for the United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona. USAYPG intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with ITT Cannon, Division of ITT Industries, 666 East Dyer Road, Santa Ana, CA 92705. The original synopsis was to procure 100 each ? Receptacle Assemblies Fiber Optic Mult-Channel (FOMC), 12-Channel Single Mode with 25-Inch Fiber Optic Pigtail Terminated with Self-Closing (SC) Connectors and Self-Closing Dust Cover (P/N F0111400 -4033). The amendment adds 50 each ? Receptacle Assemblies FOMC, 12-Channel Single Mode with 31.5-Foot Fiber Optic Pigtail Terminated with SC Connectors and Self-Closing Dust Cover (P/N F0111400-4034) and 20 each ? Back -to-Back Plug Assembly FOMC 12-Chan nel Single Mode Fiber Optic Cable with Tactical Plug Connector and 50-Lb Breakaway Feature, 33 meters. The assemblies must incorporate the same form, fit and function as the assemblies previously procured on the past three acquisitions. ITT Cannon is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of these assemblies, which must be compatible with the current ITT Cannon receptacles and back-to-back plug assemblies currently in use at USAYPG and White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) Test Support Network (TSN). Due t o the proprietary nature of these assemblies that have been previously procured, it has not been possible to utilize full and open competition. The NAICS code is 334417/500 employees. Award of the requirement shall be in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acqu isition of Commercial Items and Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. If you feel your firm possesses the ability to provide these assemblies, email your response to Lina Franks at Lina.Franks@yuma.army.mil. The response MUST include your proposal and also demonstrate that your firm possesses the capability and knowledge of providing the required assemblies along with your historical experience of how your assemblies will work with the existing ITT Cannon assemblies. The original synopsis closed on 10-December-2002 and is now due for responses no later than 30-January-2003.
