Description
Under a limited General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule competition, the SAA intends to solicit from qualified GSA schedule holders having a minimum of seven years experience, an assessment, design and implementation for a Centralized Storage solution. THIS IS A NOTICES FOR GSA SCHEDULE HOLDER SOURCES ONLY!!! It is neither a Request for Proposal nor a Solicitation. The SAA will NOT pay for any information given in response to this Sources Sought. Submitted documents will NOT be returned to those firms who provide responses to this Sources Sought. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable SAA regulations. SCOPE: The Contractor shall provide technical services and support to assess, design and implement a Centralized Data Storage Solution in the Senate's computing facilities. This effort includes creating a Centralized Data Storage solution in its Primary Computing Facility (PCF), creating a mirror solution in its Alternate Computing Facility (ACF), and implementing the ability to provide real-time synchronous data exchange between the PCF and the ACF. The services shall include: 1) Assessment/Recommendation - The Contractor shall assess the current Senate server/storage environment and recommend an approach to create a centralized storage solution at the Senate's existing Primary Computing Facility (PCF) and to transfer a mirror image of this data a minimum of fifty miles to the anticipated Alternate Computing Facility (ACF). 2) Create Detailed Design - The Contractor shall create a detailed design to implement the centralized storage solution, acceptable to the SAA. 3) Implementation - The Contractor shall implement the design. 4) Support - The Contractor shall support and warrant the solution through completion of acceptance testing and for 180 days thereafter. Responses to this Sources Sought request are due to the POC no later than February 3, 2003, 12:00 Noon EST. Page limitation of response: Maximum of 10 pages, font size no smaller than 10 point, single sided, 8.5 inches by 11 inches. To Respond you must provide the following: 1) General Information about your firm: Company Name: Address: Point of Contact Telephone Number E-mail address: GSA Schedule Number: DUNS Number: Tax ID Number. 2) a statement indicating experience, a minimum of seven years experience in assessment/design and implementation of a Centralized Storage solution, and the capability to provide the services as described above in the Scope, 3) brief technical approach to perform the SCOPE as described above and 4) three recent (within the last 3 years) relevant past examples and include the following information: Name of Client: Address: Point of contact Name Telephone Number E-mail address:Nature of the services you provided* Value of the contract. Qualified GSA Schedule holders should provide their response only via e-mail to Acquisitions@saa.senate.gov. Qualified GSA Schedule holders who respond to this Sources Sought notice will be placed on a Solicitation mailing list. Only qualified GSA schedule holders will be eligible to receive the Solicitation and submit proposals. The subject line of the email message should be Centralized Storage 2003-SS-008. It is anticipated a solicitation will be issued late February 2003 with responses due 21 calendar days after issuance of the solicitation. Telephone requests will not be honored. The Senate will not be responsible for any costs in the preparation of responses to this announcement. The Solicitation will be issued electronically only to qualified GSA schedule holders. Requests for hard copies of the Solicitation will not be honored. Requests received from other than qualified GSA schedule holders will be deemed unacceptable and will not be considered.
