- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued unless requested. The Government has a requirement to procure three (3) MD530F Fuselage shells. The MD500 Generic Fuselage (P/N:VG369D22000A517) will be modified to an ?F? model configuration prior to delivery to the Goverment by installing the following items/kits: 1.369-FF020301 Plenum Completion 2.369-FF020303 Engine Bay Access Door 3.369-FF02032 Engine Access Panel 4.369-F030702 C30 Engine Kit 5.C30 Engine Mounts, consisting of a.600N8631 Engine Mounts b.369DSK400A157 Bracket c.369DSK400A158 Bracket d.369DSK400-53 Doubler The delivery date requested is on or before 31 May 2003. The shells will be delivered to L3 Communications, Door #12, 5749 Briar Hill Road, Lexington, KY 40512. The Government intends to award a contract to MD Helicopters, Inc. (MDHI), 5000 E. McDowell Road, Mesa, AZ 85215 on a sole source basis. MDHI is the manufacturer and they retain all proprietary data on the item. If interested parties show an interest as a result of this notice, they will be given due consideration required by law. Note 22 applies. The solicitation number is USZA95-03-R-0010, and is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The due date is 28 Jan 2003 no later than 12:00PM noon est. Proposals may be submitted via e-mail to spowell@tapo.eustis.army.mil, or by fax to (757) 878-4199. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2002-06. The associated NAICS code for this acquisition is 336413 and small business standard of 500 employees. The following provisions and clauses are applicable to this procurement: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial; 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items (Offerors are instructed to complete this section and return with their quote); 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items; 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items; and 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Order Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items.
