Description
The National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) intends to purchase analog cellular service and analog cellular phones for use at Stennis Space Center, MS and it's station sites throughout the U.S. This procurement will consist of the purchase of twenty analog phones per year for three years and analog phone service for approximately 56 sites. The contract will consist of one base year and four option years. The contractor must have the ability to provide service to analog phones. The phones will be analog and analog-modem capable(external RJ11 interface box is acceptable). The phones shall become NDBC property upon receipt. Phones may be provided at no cost or as a separately priced line item. Phones shall be form, fit and function replacement for Motorola model No. S3446A, S2046A, S3784A, 19108 DALSC, 19102 WALSE, 19401 WAMBB, 19706 DAMSA, 19063 NNASF, 19020 WAASA, or 19476 GNASA. Phones must have a minimum 1-year parts and labor warranty and must also be supplied with hand sets. The power output of the phones must be 3 to 5 watts. NDBC will have the option of reprogramming phones and providing ESN of phone and phone number associated with that phone to the contractor when required. Service must have access numbers local to Stennis Space Center, MS 39529; area code (228). Service cannot be turned off for any reason except at NDBC request. Individual phone usage is approximately 15 minutes per phone per month. Usage will vary, depending on weather events. Yearly agreements for individual phones are not allowed. NDBC has the option to terminate service to a phone if that phone is no longer in use. Optional services such as caller ID, call forwarding, three-way calling, etc. are not allowed as part of service. Detailed billing is required. NDBC is tax exempt; any applicable taxes must be removed from the invoice prior to submission. Any associated costs such as shipping, activation or set up fees, etc, must be noted in vendor's response to the solicitation. Customer and technical support must be available 7:00am to 5:00pm Central Standard Time. The solicitation package will be available on or about February 10, 2003. The package may be requested by fax or email. No phone requests will be accepted. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 517212 and the size standard is 1500 employees. This procurement is 100% small business set-aside. See Note 1.
