SYNOPSIS Denison Job Corps Center Posting: Thursday, January 23, 2003 PLEASE DISREGARD POINT OF CONTACT REFRENCES IN THIS NOTICE TO GARY SCHWARTZ OR NORMAN PLUME. The correct point of contact is Tom Deuschle, Contracting Officer, 816/502-9055. Request For Proposal (RFP)# AE97311000, for the operation of the Denison Job Corps Center which includes provision of academic, vocational, social skills and career development training and related support for an estimated total of 148 residential male students, 148 residential female students and 4 non-residential students. This contract includes the operation of the Job Corps Center and providing post-center transition services to eligible program participants 16-24 years old. A pre-proposal conference will convene at 9:00 am CST on, Thursday, March 6, 2003 at the Denison Job Corps Center, 10 Opportunity Drive, Denison, Iowa, 51442 // Telephone Number 712/263-4192. Upon entering the facility, prospective offerors must stop at the front office where they will be given instructions for the conference. Immediately following the pre-proposal conference there will be a walk-through inspection of the Denison Job Corps Center. It is recommended that the RFP be downloaded from the website prior to the pre-proposal conference. In addition, it is recommended that prospective offerors bring the RFP to the pre-proposal conference. All questions prior to the pre-proposal conference should be submitted in writing. Proposals in response to this RFP will be due no later than 12:00 pm (noon) CST, on Wednesday, April 16 2003, at the following address: U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps, City Center Square, 1100 Main Street, Suite 1000, Kansas City, Missouri, 64105-5141. All responsible sources may submit a proposal to be considered by the agency. The RFP will be available on the World Wide Web on or before Friday, January 31, 2003 at http://wdsc.doleta.gov/jobcorps/ It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period beginning November 1, 2003 to October 31, 2005, with three (3) governmental unilateral renewal options of one year each. At Missouri Valley turn east onto Highway 30 and travel approximately 43 miles to Denison, Iowa. You will go through the City of Denison; the center is on the eastern outskirts of town; on the left side of the highway.
