- Description
- The Air Armament Center (AAC) at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a requirement for the Rental and Service of Portable Latrines. This will be a small business set aside. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and services necessary in connection with delivery, service and pick up of chemical latrines, and fleet service of aircraft. Eglin Air Force Base consists of the Main Base, auxiliary fields, ranges, and test sites. Period of performance will be from 1 Apr 03 through 31 Mar 04 with 8 1-year options. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 562991 with a size standard of $6,000,000. Firms responding to this announcement should indicate whether they are or are not a small business concern or a small disadvantaged business concern as defined in FAR 52.219-1. The Air Force reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but communicates Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Matters of a routine or administrative nature concerning this acquisition should not be addressed to the Ombudsman but rather to the Contracting Officer, Contract Specialist, or the Program Manager previously identified.
