Description
SOURCES SOUGHT: RESTRICTED TO HAWAII AND GUAM 8 (a) FIRMS SERVICED BY THE HAWAII SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION DISTRICT OFFICE. This is a market survey to determine whether adequate numbers of SBA certified 8(a) firms, serviced by the Hawaii SBA, are capable to perform on a large Design-Build Multiple Award Construction Contract for projects in Guam and the Mariana Islands. The contract will be an indefinite quantity type where orders will be placed on an as required basis. The performance period shall be 12 months, with options to extend the term of the contract for a total of 36 months. The aggregate amount for the 36 months will be $120,000,000. Minimum and maximum task order amounts are $300,000 and $2,000,000, respectively. The scope of work will consist primarily of design-build and modified design-build for new construction, repair, alteration, and demolition of facilities. Facilities will include barracks, administrative and personnel facilities, warehouses, shoreline structures, utilities, and others of similar use. Tasks will include new construction, alterations, repairs to waterfront areas, underground and overhead utilities, industrial facilities, demolition, power facilities, lead and asbestos abatement, and security and force protection projects. Interested and qualified sources are requested to provide the following information: (1) Company name, point of contact, email address and telephone number and (2) List of your most recent and relevant design-build projects to include names, points of contact, phone numbers, and a brief description of the work performed. Address also the following questions in narrative discussion: (1) Do you have architects/designers (licensed/P.E.) on staff? (2) How much of the design workload do you intend to perform with in-house personnel? (3) How much of the design workload do you intend to subcontract? (4) Provide numbers of applicable subcontract personnel that will perform design tasks and are any of these subcontractors located outside of Guam? (5) How long has subcontract relationship existed, and what design-build projects have been accomplished together? (6) What is your maximum bonding capacity? (7) What is your current bonded amount? All interested and qualified sources shall provide this information to the Officer in Charge of Construction, Marianas, NAVFACENGCOM Marianas, PSC 455, Box 175, FPO AP 96540-2200, by email to castrodr@pwcguam.navy.mil no later than 07 February 2003. North American Industry Classification System Sectors are 236, 237 and 238 for construction with Size Standards of $28.5MIL, $28.5MIL and $12.0MIL, respectively.
