Description

NOTICE OF INTENT: The 30th Space Wing intends to extend the Technical Computer Services Contract (TCSC) #F04684-98-C-0016 with MCA Engineers, Inc. for a period of six (6) months (1 Apr - 30 Sep 2003). By extending the TCSC contract, launch mission critical services will be uniterupted while the new eight year Western Range Operations Communications Information (WROCI) Contract services are being competed under solicitation F04684-01-R-0008. The current TCSC contract provides administrative and technical support to the overall diversified mission of the 30th Space Wing. This currrent contract provides support to include: delivery, installation, operation, maintenance, programming/reprograming (hardware and software) and management of computer resources; computer security, life cycle acquistion management at Vandenberg AFB CA. The requirements of this contract requires establishment of configuration control of hardware and software on user desktops, labtops, networks, installation and maintenance support for mission critical computers. All hiring and training of personnel, learning of mission critical systems, development of O&M procedures, and obtaining of certifications and required security clearances must be accomplished without interruprion of TCSC services or change to launch mission schedules. Phase-in will not be included due to the aggressive launch mission schedule, the criticality of services to be provided and the impact that would result from the interuption of these services. The incumbent contractor will not provide transition training since this would cause the government a substantial duplication of costs and an unacceptable delay to mission schedules. Any replies to this notice must be received with 15 day of this notice.
