- NA The U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY is soliciting offers to provide the Womens Army Corps Dress Mess Uniform. The Contractor must be U.S. Army certified or be providing items from a certified supplier of these items. Quantity is estimated to be18 0 to 210 sets consisting of Womens White Dress Mess Jacket, Womens Long Black Dress Mess Skirt, Black Cummerbund, White Blouse, and Black Tab Collar, quarter moon shape to fit under rounded collar of blouse. Tab attaches by snap fastener, tab width at cen ter front approximately 1 and 3 sixteenths inch. The basic material and manufacturing specifications for all uniform components will be in accordance with U.S. Army Natick Lab Uniform Quality Control PD# S-06-82b, dated 2 Dec 1991, Type V, Class 2, with d eviations dated 3/18/99. The specifications may be viewed at the following location: http://www.usma.edu/doc/solic.htm under Woman Dress Mess Uniform. First articles required for each component piece. Contractor to measure, alter, fit and deliver esti mated 180 to 210 Dress Mess Uniform sets to USMA Women cadets in the class of 2007. Upon delivery, contractor will fit the uniform and provide alterations to insure compliance with fit standards. All women cadets, regardless of size, must be fitted and u niform delivered to USMA. Contractor shall identify the number, names and positions of the employees who shall perform the initial fitting and final delivery, with submission. White dress jacket to be delivered without sleeve braid. Contractor will provi de each uniform with the necessary braid, but not sewn on the jacket. Government shall furnish 6 each brass buttons for each jacket to be used in lieu of U.S. Army buttons, and an identification label to be sewn into the jackets and skirts. Contractor sha ll be onsite at USMA for four days from July 15 thru 18, 0800 to 1800 hours for fitting and measuring between 180 and 210 female cadets. The contractor shall return to USMA for a four day period from Sept 16 thru Sept 20, 2003, between the hours of 0700 a nd 1530 to delivery uniforms that have been previously fitted. (Tentative dates will be confirmed on or before initial fitting). If at this time a uniform cannot be fitted or requires additional alterations, contractor shall obtain the proper size or provi de the alterations at his own expense and make final delivery on or before 4 Oct 2003. Contractor shall accept for reimbursement any new uniform components previously fitted to any female cadet who resigns from USMA before delivery commences.
