- Description
- The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute intend to purchase Steinert Ind., Inc., Brand name or equivalent Caging Units to house New World Monkeys (Marmosets). The Caging Units consist of the following specifications; 1) five (5) each stainless steel cage 89.5" H x 60" W x32"D, 2) fifty (50) each slide dividers (10 per cage), 3) twenty (20) each catch pans (4 per cage), 4) fifty (50) each adjustable shelf (10 per cage). The wiring mesh size is 1 1/4" by ?" from a wire center to wire a center. This wiring size is to prevent the escape of new born monkeys weighing 25-28 grams. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 332618 and the Size Standard is 500 employees for this requirement. The small business set-aside applies for this requirement. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. Interested vendors capable of furnishing the government with the products in this synopsis should submit two (2) copies of a quotation to the below address. The quotation shall include the itemized price, commercial price list, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin) Shipping cost, if applicable, business size, Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs), and descriptive literature of the product quoted. The quotation must reference ?Solicitation number? NHLBI-PS-2003-038. Quotations will be due fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis or February 11, 2003, by 8:30 a.m. local time, whichever is later. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, Contracts Operations Branch, Procurement Section, 6701 Rockledge Drive, Suite 6042, Bethesda, MD 20892-7902, Attention: Deborah Coulter. Fax quotations will only be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative.
