- In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration Acquisition Management System (FAAAMS) paragraph 3.2.1.3.12, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry that the FAA intends to award a single source purchase order, in an amount less than $100,000, to Noise Com, Inc., for the items described below: GPS7500 - Digital Noise & Interference Generator for GPS Testing at L1 band, 1575.42 MHz +/- 20 MHz GPSoptLO - External LO Input Option with by-pass of L1 filter GPSoptL2 - Additional independently programmable internal noise & interference generator for L2 band, 1227.60 MHz +/- 20 MHz The requirement is for a general-purpose noise source, including any options needed to support the specific type of testing that the FAA requires in RTCA MOPS DO-253A. ---The unit must be capable of generating all the non-CW interference signals, as defined in Appendix D, centered on both the L1 and L2 GPS frequencies (not simultaneously). This requires the unit to be capable of generating variable bandwidth noise at various power levels. Pulsed signal generation is required. The product offered must be a commercial, off-the-shelf item (COTS). Interested parties, who believe that they can provide the items requested, shall contact the Contracting Officer, at the following e-mail address: Brenda.Wendling@faa.gov, by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2003. No telephonic responses will be honored. Responses should cite the announcement number and title (GPS Testing Equipment). Responses shall also contain the company name, point of contact, telephone number, fax number, and e-mail address. Interested parties may be required, at their own expense, to travel to the FAA, William J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City International Airport, NJ, to demonstrate the capabilities of their products. Demonstrations will be conducted only if requested by the FAA, and only after coordination with the Contracting Officer. The FAA shall not be liable for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this market survey, nor reimburse or otherwise pay any costs incurred by any party responding to this announcement.
