- NA This announcement is a sources sought notice published for market research to locate potential sources and is not a request for proposal or solicitation. The Directorate of Contracting is seeking sources capable of providing Meals, Lodging and Transportat ion for applicants processing through the San Diego Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), San Diego, CA during a base period of 1 Apr 2003 through 31 Mar 2004 with four option periods. Services are for a supper meal, overnight lodging, breakfast th e next morning and morning transportation to the MEPS. It is estimated that there will be 17,000 applicants processing yearly. The number of applicants daily will possibly reach 140 maximum, but average 66 applicants daily. This contract will be awarded on a Best Value basis using the tradeoff source selection process. Based on a review of industry response to this sources sought synopsis, the Government will decide an appropriate procurement strategy. The appropriate NAICS code is 721110 with a size s tandard of $6 million. Contractor shall provide the complete address, owner?s name and phone number, Duns Number, Tax ID number and complete a form supplied by the Directorate of Contracting, as requested. NOTE: To qualify for being a small business, th e offeror?s average annual gross revenue for the last 3 fiscal years is $6 million. This average annual gross revenue is for all its affiliates combined, NOT JUST LODGING SITE YOU WOULD BE PROPOSING. All information submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis shall be received no later than 31 January 2003, 4:00 P.M., EST. Submit all information to Directorate of Contracting, Bldg 1109B, ATTN: Patty Rollie, Fort Knox, KY 40121-5000 by FAX to 502/624-5869 or by email to Patricia.Rollie@knox.arm y.mil. This synopsis is not a request for proposal. It is a market research tool being used to determine the method of acquisition and issuance of a request for proposal. The Government is not obligated to, and will not pay, for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis.
