- Description
- The Federal Correctional Institution, (FCI), in Morgantown, West Virginia, intends to award a contract to an offeror that can provide physical therapy services to incarcerated inmates. This is a requirements type contract, with the schedule consisting of approximately 184 sessions per year, a session being defined as one hour. The requirement is 100% set-aside for small business. It is anticipated that the award will be for a base year and four option years, based on the availability of funding. The Request for Quotation will be available on or after November 14, 2002, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the request for quotation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instruction. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will also be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Services shall include, but not be limited to: Providing physical therapy services in accordance with specific orders provided by the Clinical Director at the FCI; Providing education to inmates on physical therapy exercises/modalities used and only providing physical therapy services/modalities to the extent where the inmate is able to begin performing exercises on his own, with instructions; Keeping open communiction with the Clinical Director and giving verbal reports on the progress of each patient after each session; Preparing monthly and quarterly reports on Improving Organtization Performance (IOP) measure and submitting reports the IOP Coordinator; Providing written progress reports for each patient visit within ten days following treatment; Agreeing to adhere to all regulations prescribed by the institution for safety, custody and conduct of inmates; Attending an orientation program prior to assuming institution involvement. Offerors are hereby notified that this award shall not consititue an employer/employee relationship.
