- STATEMENT OF WORK FOR SUMMER CHEERLEADING PROGRAM The contractor will provide for non-personal services to staff and operate a weekly cheerleading program for DoD youth ages 6-18, which will be paid for by government funds. Required services are specified within: 1. Summer cheerleading program will visit 6 USAFE installations between 7 July and 22 Aug 03. The installations to be visited are as follows: RAF Lakenheath, RAF Molesworth and RAF Croughotn in the UK, Rhien Main AB in Germany, and Lajes Field in the Azores. 2. Contractor is responsible for all travel costs to European countries (UK to Germany, Germany to Italy, Italy to Turkey and Turkey to the Azores) and to and from the United States. Local youth programs will provide the ground transportation while in the UK, Germany, Turkey, the Azores and Italy. USAFE/SVPCY will coordinate specific dates for each camp once contract has been awarded. 3. Cheerleading program shall consist of 5 days, 2 sessions of 3 hours per day for a total of 15 hours of instruction, demonstration, and practice exercises using cheerleading skills; such as, but not limited to: teamwork, safety, exercise and fitness, cheers, chants, dances, stunts, choreography techniques and material appropriate for each age group (7-9) (10-13) (14-17). Staff will be taught everyday appropriate cheerleading skills and techniques. Cheerleading program shall include: 1. Warm-ups and injury prevention 2. Safety and Spotting techniques 3. Cheers and chants 4. Motion drills & dance techniques set to music. 5. Beginning tumbling techniques 6. Jumps, exercises and dance routines 7. Choreography techniques 8. Team building spirit games 9. Stunt instruction, mounts, pyramids etc Also, conduct cheerleading sessions with the children and staff. Staff will use the techniques gained in training while working with the children and being coached by the instructors. Camps will include an end of camp performance with the campers. Solid values and sportsmanship will be a recurring theme in all the interactions between staff and the children. 4.Child to staff ratio for the contractor will be 15 to 1 5.Instructors will be nationally recognized, be fluent in the English language and will have previous experience and training in conducting programs for youth 6.Each program participant will receive 15 hours of instruction, a participation award, a certificate of course completion and the opportunity to provide feedback on the program. 7.Programs will provide gym or similar space to adequately conduct this program. Programs will also provide mats for tumbling and a boom box with CD and tape player. 8. Youth participating in this program will need to provide all their own equipment to include safety gear as deemed necessary by the local installation. 9.Contractor is responsible for all other equipment and supplies. 10.The local youth program will handle all the marketing for this program and register all program participants. Contractor is welcome to forward logos to each program. 11.Local programs will provide lodging for contractors only, not family member accompanying the contractor. 12.Contractors are responsible for all their own meals expenses.
