Description

Potential Sources Sought for certified 8(a) firms interested in submitting a proposal for an upcoming construction project, firm fixed type contract at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Tarrant County, Forth Worth, Texas. The base is located approximately 43 miles west of Dallas, TX. This will be a competitive 8(a) acquisition limited to the Dallas/Ft Worth District in Region 6 of the Small Business Administration. Only offers from 8(a) firms having a bona fide office located within this geographic area of competition shall be evaluated. This project consists of a full renovation to Building 1780, a 30,000 square foot administration building. Work will consist of a renovation to include substantial interior demolition, asbestos abatement, a full mechanical replacement, substantial electrical replacement, installation of a fire sprinkler system, and architectural floor plan modifications. Magnitude of the construction project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance period is 365 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Applicable NAICS code for this project is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a size standard of $28.5 million dollars. Solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted through the electronic posting system (http://www2.eps.gov/). Paper copies will not be provided. Contractors will be solely responsible for monitoring the Internet and obtaining the solicitation documents and any amendments. Interested offerors must ensure they are registered with the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) in order to receive award of a contract. Information to register can be found on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov or telephone 1-888-227-2423. Estimated issued date for the solicitation is on or about 2 December 2002.
