Description

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation, for commercial items prepared in accordance with format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being issued as a request for quotation. Submit offers on RML-RFQ #3012. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-12 dated 1/27/03. This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 325998 and the size standard is 500 employees. SCHEDULE: The Rocky Mountain Laboratories, Laboratory of Human Bacterial Pathogenesis(LHBP)proposes to award a purchase order for DNA sequencing and RT-PCR supplies, brand name or equal, in the following estimated quantities: 1. Est 10 ea. FG Snapshot Multiplex 5000 Reaction Kit(Catalog #4323163); 2. Est 30 ea. TF, GS120 LIZ Size Std(Catalog #4324287); 3. Est 15 ea. TF, Bigdye-T v3.1 RR-5000 & SEQ Buf (Catalog #4337457); 4. Est 11 ea. FG, Array Capillary 110 x 50 cm(Catalog #4305787); 5. Est 120 ea. FG, BTL 3700 POP-5, 230 ml(Catalog #4313087); 6. Est 12 ea. Custom, POP-5, 920 ml(Catalog #4315474C); 7. Est 10 ea. TF, 10 PK Kit TQMN 1-Step PCR Master Mix(Catalog #4313803); 8. Est 70 ea. TF, Taqman Universal PCR Master Mix 10 Pk(Catalog #4305787); 9. Est 400 ea. Custom, Taqman Probe 15,000 to 25,000 pmol(Catalog #450024); and 10. Est 800 ea. Custom Sequence Detection Primer, 0.2 uM(Catalog #4304971) The LHBP currently has three Applied Biosystems DNA sequencing machines that include 2 automated high through-put model 3700 capillary electrophoresis sequencers and one manual model 377 plate electrophoresis seqencer. The LHBP also utilizes a Applied Biosystems 7700 Sequence Detection System for confirmation and additional analysis of DNA microarray, proteomics and genomics data utilizing real-time RT-PCR. FOB Point shall be Destination, Hamilton, MT. This will be an indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery order to provide the above listed sequencing supplies for a period of 12 months. Delivery orders will be placed by designated ordering officials, and delivery shall be no more than 24 hours after receipt of the delivery order, with the exception of weekends and Federal Holidays. Delivery location is Rocky Mountain Laboratories, 903 S. 4th Street, Hamilton, MT. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial; FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; FAR 52-212.5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Commercial Items. Offerors must include with their offer a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications/Commercial Items. Offers may be mailed or faxed to the POC indicated above (Fax - 406-363-9376). Offers must be submitted not later than 4:30 PM (MDST), 2/14/03. Copies of the above-referenced clauses are available upon request, either by telephone or fax. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered by this Agency.
