- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services in accordance with FAR Part 12 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only notice of this Request for Quotation (RFQ) and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation/synopsis reference number is 31JAN2003. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-22. The associated NAICS code is 721110 with 500-employee size standard. Offerors must propose a fixed rate for single-occupancy lodging for approximately 96 personnel for the period 10 Feb 03 through 30 Dec 03. The facility must be within a ten- mile radius of Charleston Air Force Base, SC and be able to house all personnel within the same facility. Each room must be equipped with the following amenities: Microwave oven, refrigerator, iron and ironing board, telephone, hairdryer and laundry facilities must be located on the premises. The offer should include phone rates comparable to those offered by Air Force Lodging (ie. local call rate is .35 and all 800/888 calls are free). All offers are subject to a facility inspection prior to contract award. Offerors are encouraged clearly identify any additional services/amenities offered in addition to the minimum requirements listed above. Award will be by Purchase Order and payment will be made monthly via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) so all offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr2000.com to be eligible for award. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and will remain in full force in any resultant award; FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items is applicable to the solicitation and blanks in (a) are completed as follows: past performance, price, amenities, condition of facilities, and proximity to Charleston Air Force Base will be the factors used in the evaluation process for this purchase. Past performance, amenities, facility condition, and proximity are more important evaluation factors than price alone. Offerors are advised to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items (July 2002).
