Description

NOTICE: THE RELEASE OF THE SOLICITATION IS BEING POSTPONED DUE TO ADMINISTRATIVE REASONS. PLEASE CHECK THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AGAIN ON FEB. 05, 2003. THANK YOU. The Social Security Administration (SSA), Region II, seeks a contractor to provide mail presort and barcoding services at the Addabbo Federal Building located in Jamaica, Queens, New York. Contractor will furnish all necessary personnel, materials, services, facilities, and equipment, except as specified in the solicitation, and perform all tasks necessary to prepare first-class national distribution mail furnished by SSA, to qualify for rate discounts under the USPS automation and nonautomation discount programs. The requirement involves approximately 1 million pieces of mail per year. Contract period begins March 21, 2003 for one year with provisions for up to four additional one-year option periods. The solicitation will be issued on-line at http://www.eps.gov on or about January 21, 2003 with offers due approximately three weeks thereafter. Requests for paper copies of the solicitation may be directed in writing or by fax to: SSA, Attn: Angela Lee, 26 Federal Plaza, Room 4040, New York, NY 10278. This acquisition is being conducted under FAR 13.5 - Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This is a 100% small business set-aside. All responsible offerors that qualify may submit an offer that shall be considered.
