General Information Document Type: Synopsis/Solicitation Notice Solicitation Number: F1AB2730210300 Posted Date: Feb 04, 2003 Original Response Date: Feb 14, 2003 Contracting Office Address Department of the Air Force, Air Education and Training Command, 325th Contracting Squadron/LGCAB, 501 Illinois Ave, Suite 5, Tyndall AFB, Fl 32403 Description This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR, Subpart 12.6 and supplemented with streamlined acquisition procedures in FAR Part 13, and further supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation F1AB2730210300 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-06 and Defense Acquisition Circular (DAC) 91-13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334512 with a size standard of 500 employees. This procurement has been 100% set-aside for Small Businesses. Tyndall AFB requires the purchase, shipment, and installation of a Torit Environmental Control Booth, Model ECB-6. Equivalents will not be considered. Booth specifications are: 220? x 90? Work Space; 3,960 sq ft Filter Area; 6.8:1 Air-to-media ratio; six (6) Fibra-web Filter Cartridge Material; 36 Filters; 4,500 cfm per power module, face velocity Design Flow;160 fpm; Composite Grinding Application; 5hp, 3450 rpm, 640 volt/3 phase/ 60 Hz TFEC and aluminum airfoil fan wheel Motor; fan mounted on the clean side of the filters to avoid contact with dust laden air. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, transportation, and all else necessary to install the booth to a complete and usable facility. Thirty-six (36) additional replacement filter cartridges shall be provided. Work includes, but is not limited to installation of electrical wiring and compressed air piping from government's supply. The solicitation will be electronically issued on the Governments EPS (Electronic Posting System, http://www.eps.gov). NOTE: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Registering may take up to 3 weeks to process. Contractors may access the CCR at http://ccr.edi.disa.mil. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. Place of delivery and acceptance will be the F/A-22 Low Observable Composite Repair Facility (LO/CRF), Building 295, Tyndall AFB, FL 32403. The required delivery date is 8 weeks after receipt of order.
