Description

NA This announcement is to provide notice that a sole source, modification to a current contract, award is anticipated. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The impending procurement is to provide the Program Executive Office fo r Chemical and Biological Defense (PEO-CBD), Falls Church, VA, with the necessary nonpersonal services to implement Phase II of the Integrated Digital Environment (IDE) required to directly support the PEO?s effort against the war on terrorism and efforts related to the defense against biological weapons and weapons of mass destruction. This Phase II of the current IDE will 1) extend the current functionality to include the US Navy, US Air Force and the US Marine Corps, 2) create computer code to establish data interfaces between many of the automated systems with the IDE, and 3) augment and enhance IDE functionality at the current satellite sites. The expected value of this action is $1.58 Million. Because of the critical nature of this procurement and b ecause the current contractor has the institutional memory, background and specialized experience required to ensure the success of this critical effort within the mandated time lines, a non competitive award to the DynPort Vaccine Company (DVC), 64 Thomas Johnson Drive, Frederick, MD 21702 will be made under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
