- NAICS: 337127 Business size: 500 employees The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to procure twenty-five (25) each Navigational Chairs, NSN 2090-01-F02-7707, Turnbull Enterprises P/N 525-167, with new base plate and mounting hardware without drilled holes (Base Chair P/N 525-067) , chestnut brown upholstery (US-375) and brown finished metal parts (20059) to support the change-out of failed chairs currently installed onboard the 41' UTB Coast Guard vessels. Turnbull Enterprises is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), and maintain all proprietary rights to all technical and engineering data and drawings, therefore it is the Government's belief that only Turnbull Enterprises can provide these chairs. This nonavailability of technical data precludes the U.S. Coast Guard from obtaining competition. ALTERNATE PART NUMBERS SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS ACQUISITION. It is intended to award a sole-source purchase order to Turnbull Enterprises no later than 13 February 2003. Hard copies of this solicitation shall not be issued from this office. Delivery shall be 90 calendar days after the date of award. Each Chair shall be individually preserved and packaged in its own container and shall be delivered to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Columbia Warehouse Annex, 6751 Alexander Bell Drive, Columbia, MD 21046. This is a combined synopsis solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the FAR, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotation shall include, proposed delivery in days, the company Tax Information Number and DUNS Number. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by this agency. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAR 2003. The following FAR clauses apply to this solicitation.
