Description

NOTE: THIS SOLICITATION IS INTENDED ONLY FOR LOCAL SOURCES IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION 5.202(a)(12). LOCAL SOURCES ARE THOSE SOURCES NORMALLY RESIDENT, LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO CONDUCT CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS IN JAPAN. OFFERS FROM NON-LOCAL SOURCES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNDER THIS SOLICITATION. This project requirement is to construct telecom closet at Bldgs 101 and 102 at Camp Zama. The work includes construction of partition wall consisting of light gage steel framing, 50-mm thick glass wool thermal insulation, 12.5-mm thick gypsum wallboard and steel door in the vault. Replace existing wood with soundproof steel door and framing. Install steel door and 25-mm thick acoustical board in room. Install split type air-conditioner complete with refrigerant suction pipe, liquid pipe and drain pipe, pipe supports and other incidental accessories. Install and replace receptacles, A/C panel board, lighting fixtures and conduit & wiring are also required. Site orientation is scheduled for 12 Feb 03, 1000 hrs. Participants will meet at Parade Field, Camp Zama, Kanagawa-ken, Japan. All offerors are encouraged to participate in this scheduled tour.
