Description
NA CONTACT Herb Baron, Maintenance Engineer, Firefinder Radar Systems (732) 427-5619. This is a market survey to locate additional sources to configure, assemble and manufacture a toolkit (with tools) for Unit and Intermediate Level Support Maintenance. Pre vious sources were General Services Administration (GSA) and the Defense Supply Center. Method of procurement will be a 5-year IDIQ contract, with the approximate quantity to be procured the first year of 10 units. The subsequent 4-year range quantities will vary from 1?15, 16-30 each year. There are approximately 180 items which make up the kit. These items consists of various hand tools and soldering equipment, i.e., soldering irons, hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, socket sets, wrenches (box/open/torqu e), connector-pin insertion/ extractor tools, etc. Upon request the government will furnish a list of each item by National Stock Number (NSN) and item descriptions. Tools must be equal or better than the items on the government?s list, if the contractor chooses to submit an item. If for any reason an item is unobtainable the government will furnish it as Government Furnished Material (GFM). The toolbox should contain wheels and have foam inserts for the incursion of the tools. A parts list (like Supply Catalogs SC5180-91-R60 and R61), identifying each tool shall be included with the tool kit. Suppliers capable of furnishing these items must so indicate by writing to Commander, US Army, CECOM ATTN: AMSEL-LC-IEW-C-CF (Baron), US Army Communication-Electro nics Command, CECOM Acquisition Center, Bldg. 1208, Fort Monmouth NJ.07703-5008, Fort Monmouth, NJ. 07703-5000. This response should include documentation such as contract numbers, copies of purchase orders, if the supplier was a vendor to the previous so urce, or a statement from the previous source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply an item that will be physically and functionally interchangeable with those items acquired from the previous supplier. Successful suppliers shall warrant th at the items supplied will perform satisfactory when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
