Description

NA A sole source procurement is contemplated with Bruker BioSpin Corporation, 47697 Westinghouse Drive, Fremont, CA 94539 for the purchase of an NMR Spectrometer System, associated accessories, and equipment installation and training (delivery on or before Au gust 20, 2003). Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C)(1), and Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, supplies, services, and/or equipment required are available from one responsible source and no other type of supplies, services, and/or equipment will satisfy a gency requirements. This action requires FAR 6.302-1 authority due to the fact that only one manufacturer, Bruker BioSpin Corporation, offers an NMR system which meets all the requirements listed above and in the solicitation. In addition, Bruker BioSpin Corporation manufactures the majority of NMR spectrometer systems in use at other government labs. Diagnostic data differs in format among NMR manufacturers, making data exchange difficult, if not impossible should Dugway Proving Ground purchase its syst em from another manufacturer. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, all responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Supporting evidence must be furnished to demonstrate the ability to comply with th e Government's requirements. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with sole source negotiation with Bruker BioSpin Corporation. The solicitation (DABJ19-03-T-0023) will be available on or around 6 February 2003 through the Army?s Singl e Face to Industry website at http://acquisition.army.mil and through the U.S. Army Contracting Agency ? Dugway Proving Ground website at https://www.dugway.army.mil/10-3_ContractingDivision.htm. Responses are due 18 February 2003, 1600 (MST). In the eve nt either site is not accessible, responses may be faxed at this number (435) 831-2085. The point of contract concerning this sole souce action is Mr. Eric S.
