Description
NASA/JSC is soliciting information for potential sources for the maintenance and modification of NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC), Houston, TX, Dryden Flight Research Center (DFRC), Edwards, CA, and Langley Research Center (LaRC), Hampton, VA, assigned aircraft, to include airframes, engines, appliances, and support equipment. Maintenance and modification support activities include maintenance services, quality services, engineering services, and logistics services. Simulation support services on the Shuttle Training Aircraft and related equipment may be required. Air crew services may be required at one or more of the NASA Centers. The overall North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this perspective procurement is 488190 and $6,000,000. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. NASA JSC is seeking capabilities from small, small disadvantaged, women-owned small, 8(a), HUBZone, veteran-owned small, service disabled veteran-owned small, historically black colleges and universities, or other minority educational institutions for the purposes of determining the appropriate level of competition and/or small business subcontracting goals for this requirement. Responses must include the following: name and address of firm; and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code. This sources sought synopsis is not to be constued as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the synopsis. Any questions regarding this synopsis should be directed to the point of contact. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the aforementioned Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offeros will be responsible for downloadng their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). All responses shall be submitted to Nancy Robb either in writing or via email no later than 4:30 PM CDT, February 17, 2003.
