Description
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has a requirement to provide back-up child care services to employees at its headquarters and its regional and district offices. SEC?s headquarters offices are located at 450 5th Street, NW, Washington, D.C and in Virginia at 6432 General Green Way, Alexandria, Virginia. Regional and District offices are in Atlanta, Boston, Denver, Fort Worth, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Salt Lake City. The contractor/center shall provide backup childcare exclusively and offer corporate memberships to purchase spaces in the center and secure a priority for use by SEC employees. The contractor must have centers located in DC and New York City and be able to offer access to SEC employees at additional locations convenient to as many of the regional and district offices as possible. The contractor/center shall provide a safe and secure environment and maintain proper staff to child ratios for all age groups cared for in compliance with all Federal laws and regulations and local licensing regulations governing their operation. The contractor/center shall provide care for children ages 3 months to 12 years old on an ?as available? basis, 5 days per week - Monday through Friday. The hours of operation must be consistent with the typical work schedule of employees, opening no later than 8:00 a.m. and closing no earlier than 6:00 p.m. The contractor/center shall have the ability to collect from employees a user fee not to exceed $25.00 per day/per child. The period of performance for this requirement is from date of award through one year with four one-year options. Please submit your request for a copy of the RFP by email to samuelr@sec.gov. All copies of the solicitation will be furnished electronically through email. No hard copies of the solicitation will be furnished unless absolutely necessary. The solicitation is expected to be released in March 2003. All responsible sources that submit a proposal shall be considered.
