Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Severe Storms Laboratory (NSSL) has a requirement to furnish, install, and test a Fire Protection System at the National Weather Radar Testbed Facility (NWRT) at NSSL, Norman, Oklahoma. The facility is a 30-foot round concrete structure, 54 feet high with a radome. The radome houses the equipment enclosures where the dry chemical system goes. The facility is currently under construction. Fire Protection System to include, but not limited to the following: 1) Fire Suppression Sprinklers: wet pipe, fire suppression sprinklers, including piping, valves, specialties, and automatic sprinklers; 2) Clean agent extinguishing systems (FM-200) including piping, extinguishing agent containers, detection, alarm devices, control, and panel. The contractor shall integrate the NWRT Facility Fire Protection System with the Fire Alarm Systems provided by the NWRT Facility Prime Contractor. Contractor shall provide all permits, materials, equipment, and labor necessary to perform all work contained in statement of work. Contractor must be licensed to perform all prescribed work in the state of Oklahoma. Contractor must have performed similar work and customers must indicate satisfaction with contractor performance. This requirement is set-aside for small business unless small business cannot meet the Governments needs at a reasonable price. Technical merit as well as price will be used to evaluate offers. As technical merit becomes more equal, price becomes a greater factor. (Best Value for the Government). Vendors may request a formal package by fax (preferred) or mail. This procurement is being conducted per FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, NTE $100K. You may submit your proposal by fax, email or by mail.
