Description

SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 6, Subparts 6.301 and 6.302, the U.S. Census Bureau intends to contract on a sole source basis for services to provide Census-specific expert advice and assistance for acquisition, finance and budget issues. The highly specialized nature of this work requires exceptional expertise and knowledge of the management and systems in use by each operational area. The services provided will include: high-level acquisition lifecycle planning and support, requirements analysis, strategic planning, and program management. Interested sources must submit detailed capabilities including technical capabilities, pricing, and other information that demonstrates ability to meet the needs of the Census Bureau to Lori Donovan, Suitland Federal Center, FCB3, 4700 Silver Hill Road, Washington, DC 20233, by 3:00 p.m. EST, February 25, 2003. This synopsis is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No solicitation document is available. No contract will be awarded on the basis of submissions received in response to this notice, but submissions will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the government. If no affirmative written response is received within 15 days from the publication of this synopsis, a contract may be issued to the proposed contractor without further notice.
