Description
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, with Integrated Laboratory Systems, Inc., P.O. Box 13501, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709, for a modification to increase the level of effort by approximately 8210 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), (HHSAR 306.302-1). Title of Project: Screening for TTP expression using sybr green analysis The contractor will provide technical/laboratory support for screening approximately 10,000 samples for the expression of the TTP gene using sybr green analysis. The contractor will isolate RNA from RAW cells and run a two step reaction (RT reaction to produce cDNA and then PCR reaction for Sybr green analysis) on 384 well plates. TTP expression results will be provided in the form of an excel spread sheet (Ct)and a graph (Ct vs. well). Title of Project: Environmental Polymorphism Study The Contractor will provide study management support and technical/laboratory support services to include: 1) Working with clinical staff recruiting and consenting 19,500 study participants at designated UNC affiliated clinics; 2) Collection, packaging, and transporting blood samples from those 19,500 consenting study participants to ILS for storage, DNA isolation and SNP analysis; 3) Maintaining study records and data, developing databases and archiving systems for storing consent forms and other essential paperwork, as well as for tracking the storage and processing of the coded blood samples.
