Description

NA The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona indends to negotiate and award a firm-fixed price research and development contract on a sole source basis to Arizona Public Service (APS), PO Box 53933, Phoenix, AZ 85072-3993. In accordance wi th a cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA) established between USAYPG and APS for the research and development of Photo Voltaic (PV) energy and alternative energy sources the contract will upgrade a solar/wind hybrid power plant. This pro ject wil provide USAYPG with technical data regarding the sustainability of this type of power plant. Pursuant to the CRADA between APS and USAYPG, APS is the only source that can provide this upgrade. The North American Industry Classification System (N AICS) Code is 221122. Award of this requirement shall be in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commerical Items and Part 13 -Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Note 22 applies to the acqusition except that the number of day is reduced from 45 to 9 days. Point of contact for this action is Cynthia Ford at cyndi.ford@yuma.army.mil.
