Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate with MDC, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, for the necessary support for the Follow On Test & Evaluation (FOT&E) effort required for continued development and integration of the Multifunctional Information Distribution System Low Volume Terminal (MIDS LVT) into the F/A-18 C/D and E/F aircraft. This effort will include all tasks through the completion of the MIDS FOT&E Development and Operational test phases including development and test support of the production MIDS hardware and software improvements. McDonnell Douglas is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer for the F/A-18C/D/E/F. As such, they are the only known source possessing the requisite knowledge, experience, and special tooling required to provide the necessary analysis. The period of performance is expected to be from 01 August 2003 through 31 December 2005. The delivery order will be issued under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-G-03-0004.
