Annex A standard ignition source fire of 100kW for 10 minutes and 300kW for 10 minutes. Criteria: Net peak heat release rate over any 30-second period less than 500kW. Net Average heat release rate for test less than 100kW. Flame spread must not reach 0.5m above the corner with the ignition source. In addition, to ISO 9705 requirements for no flaming drops or debris, this requirement is further restricted by USN to no flaming droplets at any location. Tenability: Smoke Production Test Method: ISO 9705; 100kW for 10 m inutes and 300kW for 10 minutes. Criteria: Peak smoke production rate less than 8.3 m2/s over any 60-second test period. Test average smoke production rate less than 1.4 m2/s. Smoke Toxicity Test Method: ISO 9705 Criteria: Total mass of CO generated during the test < 1.9kg Test Method: E-662 Criteria: CO: 200 ppm (max); CO2: 4% (max); HCl: 100ppm (max); HCN: 30 ppm (max) Test Method: NFPA 269 (1996 edition) Criteria: Data for review by NAVSEA NSWCCD SSES is soliciting information from private industry on what types of joiner doors are available in the commercial industry that meet or come close to meeting the requirements established herein.
