Description

DESC: This notice serves as Notice of Intention to issue a Prospectus for Operation of Firewood Sales within Rocky Mountain National Park. The contract to be issued is for the sale of firewood in Timber Creek Campground located in the West Unit of Rocky Mountain National Park. This operation is primarily seasonal in nature with the season beginning mid-May and ending mid-October; however, the park requests that firewood be stocked year-round to provide the self-serve purchase of firewood for campers. The annual gross receipts over the past 5 years averaged $13,053.00. The current Concession Contract expired December 31, 2002, and the current operator has no right of preference in renewal. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Prospectus will be issued February 11, 2003, for a 60-day response period. Offers for this Prospectus must be received by close-of-business (no later than 4 p.m.) on April 11, 2003, in the Business Resources Division (IMSO-DE-CM), National Park Service, Intermountain Region, P.O. Box 25287, Denver, CO 80225-0287 (Federal Express address: 12795 W. Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80228. There will be a printing cost recovery charge for the Prospectus of $35 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $30 per copy to be picked up in person. Checks or money orders must be payable to the National Park Service. (Cash cannot be accepted).
