Description
NA The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command is seeking comments from interested parties concerning a draft Statement of Work for System Developement and Demonstration (SDD) activities to include designing, developing, integrating, testing, qualifing, prepar ing for production and document a design which satifies the established performance requirements for the GMLRS Unitary. The product shall be a product improvement of the GMLRS Dual Purpose Improved Conventional Munitions (DPICM) rocket system with enhancem ents to capability and overall system effectiveness. The performance of this rocket system shall meet the requirements stated in the Operational Requirements Document (ORD) for the GMLRS Unitary. The resulting GMLRS Unitary rocket system design shall be producible in a Full Rate Production (FPR) program, and shall comply with appplicable environmental laws, regulations, and statues of the Government. It is anticipated that any future acquisition for this effort will be conducted on a sole source basis to Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control - Dallas, since they are the designer, developer, and producer of the basic and Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS/GMLRS) and associated product improvements. The draft statement of work for this effort wi ll be provided upon request. The applicable NAICS Code is 336414, with a size standard of 1,000 employees. The Army does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request, nor otherwise pay for information provided in response to this notice, or any fo llow-up information requests.
