- Description
- The Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Abbott Labs to provide the lease, maintenance, reagents, calibrators, controls and supplies for two immunochemistry analyzers to be used for Hepatitis testing at the Hines VA Hospital, Hines, IL. and the VA Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI. NAICS: 325413. The government believes that Abbott Labs is the only vendor who can provide the analyzer that can run the full menu of FDA approved hepatitis and HIV testing on a single equipment platform. This Notice of Intent is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 10 days after publication of this synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how they can meet the VA requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. If no responses are received within the period indicated, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Abbott Labs.
