Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference task ID 5TS5703C147. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2001-12. This RFQ is issued under Full and Open Competition and is unrestricted. NAICS Code 514199, All other Information Services applies. Size Standard $5M. This requirement is to provide formal information technology training in support of the GDSS II Program, at a Government facility, located at Scott AFB, IL 62225. The training shall include the presentation of technical materials explaining the fundamentals of F5 BIG-IP, introductory and advanced management topics of the 3 DNS Appliances. The contractor shall provide each attendee, materials (including training manuals) and other ancillary items. Each training session shall accommodate a number of students not exceeding 15 per class. Three classes are required. (1) Basic fundamentals of F5 Big IP Introduction. The estimated duration is two days. The course shall provide networking professionals with a functional understanding of the BIG-IP Controller. The course shall provide, as a minimum, information relative to installation, configuration, and troubleshooting methodology of Big-IP in a High-Availability (redundant pair) environment incorporating SSL off-loader engines. Presentation format shall include lectures, demonstrations, hands-on labs and group discussions. (2) and (3) 3-DNS Introductory Training and Advanced Training. Estimated duration is four days. The introductory course presentation shall provide networking professionals with a functional understanding of the 3-DNS Controller. The advanced presentation shall provide networking professionals an environment to renew their understanding of DNS concepts and the application in wide area network environments, master pre-installation information gathering processes and techniques and a practical application of this information to the installation of a 3-DNS Controller. Instruction shall utilize both simulated installation activities and hands-on exercises, to include real-time experience setting up and configuring both primary and secondary 3-DNS Controllers. Presentation format shall include lectures, demonstrations, labs and discussions. The training shall be conducted at a Government provided facility within a 50 mile radius of the GDSS II program office located at Scott Air Force Base, IL 62225. On-site Period of performance/instruction is 6 working days, 2 days for each Big IP Intro, 3DNS Intro, and 3DNS Advanced. The actual schedule shall be coordinated with the client to accommodate personnel availability, anticipated during March 2003. To accommodate the requirement for additional training, as a result of personnel changes, the contractor?s proposal shall provide a per student price to attend each of the three classes, at a contractor provided facility. The requirement will not exceed 15 students and will be utilized no later than March 2004. The purchase of additional training is contingent upon availability of funds. The contractor shall provide a copy of the respective course material for each student attending the training. Award will be made based on a best value analysis. Proposal must demonstrate information technology training experience, technical expertise, instructor qualifications and price. Price proposal must identify a firm fixed price for each the on-site training session and the price of a training voucher for future training at contractor site. Department of Labor, Wage Determination Number 1994-2310, Revision Number 23, Date of Last Revision 06/06/2002 will be incorporated in the resultant award.
