Description
NA The concept for this project is to prepare a complete design for and oversee the construction of a new Army Aviation Support Facility and all ancillary facilities. This is a specially designed aviation facility or permanent masonry and steel construction w ith standing seam metal roof, concrete floor, and mechanical and electrical equipment. Partitions to be of masonry block or gypsum drywall. Supporting facilities are unheated aircraft storage, rigid and flexible paving for aircraft parking/tie down pads, g round support equipment storage, aircraft wash facility, exterior lighting, fire protection/suppression, and fencing. This project is located on a controlled access Air Force Base. However, physical security measures will be incorporated into design includ ing maximum feasible standoff distances from roads, parking areas, and vehicle unloading areas, berms, heavy landscaping, and bollards to prevent access when standoff distance cannot be maintained. Selection criteria, in order of importance, are as follows : (1) Experience with Army Aviation Support Facilities; (2) Experience with other aviation facilities; (3) Previous performance with the team assembled for this project; (4) Previous performance (time and budget); (5) Availability of key personnel; (6) Wor kload; and (7) Location of office that would provide the predominant percentage of design services. It is anticipated the contract will be awarded and that design will be gin in April, 2003. Those firms meeting the requirements described in this announceme nt and wishing to be considered by this office must submit Standard Forms 254 and 255 and appropriate data and shall include a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) with their request. Only those Standard Forms 254 and 255 submitted for this project will be considered. No other action beyond submission of the standard forms is required or encouraged. Only responses received on the Response Date above will be considered. Should the due date fall on a weekend or holiday, the forms shall be due the first workda y thereafter. This is not a Request for Proposal. Site visits may be available during the submittal period. This is an unrestricted proposal. Address SFs 254/255 to: CPT Keith A.
