Description
NA This proposed procurement is Unrestricted, SIC Code 1542 NAICS is 233320 with a size standard of $28.5 million. Estimated cost of construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $20,000,000.00. Construction duration is 368 calendar days after receipt of the n otice to proceed. The work consists of constructing a new 70,290 gross square feet elementary school with a student capacity of 502. The building features load-bearing masonry cavity exterior walls finished with faced brick, a flat built-up roofing system with light-colored aggregate ballasts, sloped to drains via scuppers and downspouts, operable, metal, double-glazed exterior windows, glazed entrance doors with anodized aluminum frames. Interior wall finishes to be acoustical, ceramic tile, drywall, and brick veneer. Floor finishes to be ceramic tile, sealed concrete, vinyl tile carpeting. Ceiling finishes to be drywall, suspended drywall and suspended acoustical tiles. Cabinetry to be standard and custom. Bulletin and chalkboards, projection screen and f ire protection sprinklers system. The project includes grading, parking lot, access road, paved play area, athletic field, on-site parking, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, landscaping, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, sanitary, slab-on-grade, boilers, chiller, water , natural gas. Upon completion of the new building, the existing school shall be abated for hazardous materials, razed and the site restored to support the site program elements such as the playing fields, paved courts, and playground areas. Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, effective March 31, 1998 all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract. Solicitation Number DACW31-02-R-0012 will be available on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, B altimore District, web site at https://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil/ all interested parties should register for this project. The Baltimore District Corps of Engineers intends to award a firm-fixed price construction contract to the offeror whose proposal repre sents the ?Best Value? to the government. Large business firms are required to submit a Subcontracting Plan with their proposal. The Subcontracting Goals are 60% for Small Business, 15% for Small Disadvantaged Business, 8% for Women-Owned Business, 3% for HubZone Small Business, 3% for Veteran Owned Small Business and 3% for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. The solicitation will be available on/about 10 March 2003 bid opening date on/about 09 April 2003
