Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a contract to Meggitt Avionics of Fareham, England for the purchase of 3 Hi-Integration Air Data Computer (HIADC) loaders for loading updated software into the HIADC, PN 50-155-01, used on the C-130, VP/UP-3, H-46 and H-53 aircraft. This air data computer is part of an existing configuration of C-130, H-46, H-53, and VP/UP-3 GPWS equipped aircraft, and has been specifically tested for operation with the Honeywell and Cubic Ground Proximity Warning Computers (GPWCs). Meggitt Avionics is the sole designer, developer and supplier of the HIADC and its related software, and as such, is the only source available to satisfy the government's requirement to meet software update installations.
