- Description
- The General Services Administration intends to issue a sole source contract to 3M-AiT, Ltd on behalf of DoD Biometrics Fusion Center(BFC), Bridgeport, WV utilizing the Simplified Acquisition procedures under authority and limits of FAR Parts 12 and 13.501. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 03-12. This procurement is part of the BFCs Test and Evaluation program to select and evaluate promising Commercial-Off-the-Shelf biometrics products. The objective of this contract will be the provision of the following: 1) Quantity of five (5) VeriMe devices, corresponding receivers and client licenses, 2) Security Manager software complete with enrollment application, 3) Security Manager software, 4) Registration Authority software 5) Five days of mandatory on-site support for installation, training, 6) Limited telephone support during warranty period. A justification for Other than Full and Open is on file. . The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.501. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses received by 4:00 p.m., PST, 03/03/03 will be considered by the government.
